About GameAtlas

GameAtlas Team Working Together

Our Story

GameAtlas was born in 2018 in Sydney, Australia, from the shared passion of four gaming enthusiasts who met during a local game development hackathon. Frustrated by the fragmented nature of gaming information across the internet, they envisioned a comprehensive, well-organized catalog specifically for adventure and RPG games - genres known for their rich worlds, complex characters, and deep lore.

What began as a weekend project quickly evolved into a dedicated platform as other gamers discovered and embraced our systematic approach to documenting game worlds. By 2019, we had expanded our team to include researchers, content writers, and designers who shared our vision for creating the definitive resource for immersive gaming universes.

In 2020, despite the global challenges, we launched our refined platform with an expanded focus on four key areas: detailed world documentation, character profiles, comprehensive lore libraries, and high-quality screenshot collections. The gaming community's response exceeded our expectations, with developers and players alike contributing to and relying on our growing database.

Today, GameAtlas stands as Australia's premier resource for adventure and RPG game documentation, with over 500 games cataloged in meticulous detail. Our dedication to neutral, accurate, and comprehensive information has made us a trusted reference point for casual players, dedicated fans, and even game developers looking to understand narrative and world-building techniques across the industry.
